Robot handling grinding machine
This handling system stacks sheets on top of each other after they have been rolled and cut.
- Task: The handling system was developed to stack sensitive sheets and ensure they are handled gently.
- Solution: he robot sucks in a piece of sheet metal with a suction cross-member and places it on a roller conveyor, which transports the sheets to the roller. After the sheets have been rolled, they are cut to a predetermined length. After cutting, the sheets are sucked back in by the robot and deposited in the unloading unit. A paper feeder is also used on the unloading side, to ensure there is always a paper layer between the sheets, to protect their surfaces.
- Result: Applying vacuum suction to the sheets avoids any risk of surface damage.
