Laser lens assembly

Assembly of the module housing for a laser rangefinder.

  • Task: Development of a system that assembles different parts of a laser removal device.
  • Solution: On a rotary indexing table, the receiving lens and diamond window are mounted and fixed in the module housing of a laser rangefinder in clocked rotation at ten stations. The approach involves processing two types of devices, whereby the different module housings are mounted on a common carrier system and the receiving lens and diamond windows are glued to the module housing with a UV-curing adhesive. The bonding also functions as a sealant.
  • Result: The module housings can be replaced without any modification.
